Hello everybody, I need your help again. We have to make a lift study with a Demag AC 500. Due to lack of space we have to rig the crane with reduced outriggers. How wide is the small base for the crane? Also can't find any charts for the reduced basis. Can anyone send me the load charts for it? Thanks in advance ___ Regards

The reduced outrigger basis for the AC 500-1 is 7,303 m in width and 8,037 m in length (center of jack to center of jack). For which config do you need the charts? Tele, fixed jib or luffing jib? It would be easier to know this because the charts for the reduced basis are very comprehensive. Let me know which one you need and I can give it to you. ___ Carsten Thevessen

Carsten, You're quick again!  We have to rig the crane with main boom only and I guess 100 tons of cwt. Is it correct that the cwt will swing out of the outrigger area of 7,3 x 8 m? ___ Regards

Yes, that's correct. The swing radius of the ballast is 6,1 m. So it is approx. 80 cm outside of the outrigger base (center to center). But this should be within the area of the normally used mats. ___ Carsten Thevessen
